Safety Information
One Team. One Purpose. Keeping every Wildkat safe.
At Willis ISD, the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Every family who sends a child through our doors is trusting us with what matters most to them, and we take that responsibility seriously every single day.
Keeping our campuses safe takes more than any one program or person. It takes a layered approach: secure buildings, careful visitor screening, well-trained staff, dedicated School Resource Officers, and clear plans for responding to an emergency. Many of these measures have been in place for years, and we continue to review and strengthen them as our district grows and best practices evolve.
Most importantly, safety is a shared effort. Our teachers, staff, law enforcement partners, students, and families all play a role in creating schools where everyone feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. As One Team with One Purpose, we are committed to keeping every Wildkat safe.
Below, you'll find an overview of the steps we take every day to protect our campuses, along with answers to common questions and resources for families.
