Thank you, Willis Community

Willis ISD is grateful to the community for approving a portion of its $218.1 million bond referendum, which will expand educational facilities and build a new transportation center to accommodate community and student growth needs.

Proposition A passed with 55.71 percent voting for and 44.29 percent against. Prop A is a $102.7 million package that includes a Willis High School 9th grade center, parking lot upgrades, and a new transportation center. With 2,700 students currently enrolled at Willis High School and projections exceeding capacity by 2027-28, this expansion aims to alleviate overcrowding and delay the need for a second high school for 8-10 years.

Voters rejected Propositions B, C, and D.
