During the October school board meeting, the Board of Trustees approved adding five additional School Resource Officers. The district currently contracts with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for nine officers.

"With recent events and continued increasing enrollment, we need five additional School Resource Officers to cover all campuses, departments, and events properly," said Tom Crowe, Superintendent. "We also have new mandatory requirements under Texas House Bill 3. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department will conduct the posting. Sheriff Henderson and I will work together on the hiring of the positions. We feel confident we can hire the officers as we continue to improve our safety precautions."
