Willis ISD has announced two new principals for the 2023-24 school year. Dr. Kelley Moore has been named principal of Lynn Lucas Middle School after serving as principal at Parmley Elementary since 2018. Prior to joining Willis, Dr. Moore worked in Spring and Klein ISDs. She has 21 years of experience in education.
Allie Wilkins, currently assistant principal at Parmley Elementary, will be stepping up to fill the principal role. Prior to joining Willis, Wilkins worked at Southside Elementary in Cleveland ISD, first as a teacher for four years, and then as an assistant principal for four years.
“Kelley has done amazing work at Parmley Elementary over the last five years, and I am confident in her ability to grow the students and staff at Lucas,” said Dr. Tim Harkrider, Superintendent. “We are also excited to watch as Allie continues to grow on the great things taking place at Parmley.”
“I am excited to continue serving the students of Willis ISD in this new role,” said Dr. Moore. “I will miss my Parmley family, but I know they are in good hands with Mrs. Wilkins. To my new Lucas family - I can’t wait to get to know you and partner with you as we build leaders and learners!”
Dr. Moore holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in English from The University of Texas at Austin and her Master’s and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.
Regarding her promotion to lead Parmley, Wilkins said, “I am so honored to be chosen to serve as the Principal of Parmley Elementary starting in the 2023-2024 school year. Dr. Moore has created an amazing foundation that focuses on learning at high levels for all students. I am thrilled to continue this work and expand on what she has established in order to cultivate the vision for our campus. I cannot wait to serve you, your kiddos, and our community as Principal of Parmley.”
Wilkins holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.
Dr. Moore will finish out the current school year at Parmley Elementary.
