Willis ISD Welcomes New Teachers to District

Willis ISD welcomed its newest teachers today at its annual New Teacher Academy!

Teachers were greeted by interim superintendent Tom Crowe, who spoke about educators' lasting impact on students and the methods these individuals employ to ensure student success. Mr. Crowe called on all educators present to visualize their favorite teachers in their minds and determine what unique qualities they had that created such strong influence. He shared that this visualization is key to becoming a great educator.

After the welcome ceremony was over, ten new teachers were surprised by the North Montgomery County Retired Teachers Association who raffled off ten $100 Amazon gift cards. This is the 13th year the North Montgomery County Retired School Personnel organization has held a random drawing for gift cards for first year teachers in Willis ISD.

Additionally, we would like to thank the Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE) and Dutch Bros Coffee for their sponsorship of breakfast and coffee.

The future is bright with these phenomenal new teachers on board!
