    Anonymous Alerts® allows students or parents to quickly, easily, and anonymously report urgent information to school officials across all of our school campuses. Students or parents can report bullying, depression, illegal substances and other sensitive topics through private messages to our administration. The mobile app and Web-based reporting system provides secure 1-way or 2-way encrypted messages. All reports remain completely anonymous, although submitters have the option to reveal their identity if they prefer to have a person-to-person discussion. The reporting system is available on the Internet at: https://report.anonymousalerts.com/willisisd or click on the graphic below to download the Anonymous Alerts app.

  • Elementary Student of the Month

    Congratulations to our District Elementary Student of the Month for September, Addisyn Hunter, a 5th grade student at Meador. Although Addisyn is an all around great student, she was honored first and foremost for her bravery in the face of a house fire that consumed her new house on the first day of school. Addisyn, as well as her whole family, have shown great resilience through this awful event. We are proud of you, Addisyn!

  • Secondary Student of the Month

    Congratulations to WHS Senior Cole Arnold, who was named the Willis ISD District Secondary Student of the Month at the September Board Meeting. Cole was honored for his efforts as Class President, and tirelessly working create pride and unity among the student body. Way to go!

  • Willis Graduate Awarded American FFA Degree

    Grace Elizabeth Hoegemeyer, a 2020 graduate and member of the Willis FFA chapter in Willis, Texas, has been awarded the American FFA Degree. She will receive the degree at the 94th National FFA Convention & Expo Oct. 27-30. The American FFA Degree is bestowed upon a select group of students in recognition of their years of academic and professional excellence.

  • WHS Student Wins State Journalism Title

    Congratulations to Willis High School Junior Heather Jackson who recently won the State Championship in 6A UIL Journalism News Writing. This is the first year that Willis High School has competed at the 6A level. Congratulations! We are so proud of you!

  • Board Approves 2021-22 Budget

    The Willis ISD Board of Trustees last night approved a $73.1M budget for 2021-22 with a total tax rate of $1.17. The tax rate is one of the lowest of surrounding Montgomery County ISDs. The tax rate consists of $.8720 for maintenance and operations and $.30 for interest and sinking. This year’s tax rate is a 4.51 cent reduction from last year, with a total deduction of 21.8 cents since 2018. The balanced budget of revenue and expenditures is $73,141,498 for the general fund, a debt service budget of $14,747,579 and a child nutrition budget of $4,747,704. For the general fund, notable expenditures include $44,698,931 in instructional related expenses and $14,672,656 in district operating expenses. No capital expenditures were adopted in the 2021-2022 budget.

  • Free Lunches for All

    This school year, healthy meals will be offered every school day to all students at no cost. Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year.

  • Superintendent Dr. Tim Harkrider Named Distinguished Administrator by Texas Music Educators Association

    Ken Labonski, Fine Arts Coordinator, presented Superintendent Dr. Tim Harkrider with a Distinguished Administrator Award from the Texas Music Educators Association at the July board of trustees meeting. Labonski nominated Dr. Harkrider for his continued support of fine arts in Willis ISD.
