In Willis ISD, our guarantee is that all students learn at high levels. Essential standards are the grade- and course-specific standards within each content area that students must master by the end of each unit and school year in order to be prepared for the next grade level. These standards are chosen by each teaching team and reflect the guaranteed and viable curriculum that Willis ISD ensures that each student will be provided.
In the event that your student has not mastered these standards and skills, we have targeted intervention time built into each day to help support each student. This allows the teacher to work with the students in a small group or individual setting to bridge the gaps that students may have between each assessment.
