StAnd BaCk! I'm gOinG to tRy SciENce!

I have been an educator for 17 years and received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in May of 2003. Sixteen of my teaching years were spent in my hometown of Houma, Louisiana, where I taught 3rd grade science for three years, 6th grade reading for two years, 8th grade English and science for eight years, and high school sciences for three years.

In May of 2019, our family was relocated to Willis for my husband's job. I taught 8th grade science at Brabham during the 2019-2020 school year and will be teaching 8th grade science and Biology for the 2020-2021 year. One of my favorite things about teaching is watching students learn and discover through fun, engaging labs and activities. I believe that it is important to learn science so we have a better understanding of how the world works.

I not only teach in Willis ISD, but my children go to school here too. My daughter is a 7th grader at Brabham and part of the Sophistikats, and my son is a sophomore at Willis High and plays the tuba in the band.

I enjoy camping, hiking, reading, traveling to new places, being in our boat on Lake Conroe, and keeping myself healthy. I truly enjoy every moment of getting to study, experiment, and discover when it comes to science, and I hope that my students feel the same after being with me for a while!

You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him discover it in himself.   ~Galileo
