Degrees and Certifications:

Andrea Shelley Eisinger

Welcome to AP Human Geography (APHuG) and AP Psychology (APSY)!

I'm A. Shelley Eisinger (aka Mrs. "ICE").  I have my Bachelors of Science in Social Studies "Composite" (grades 4-12), which means I can teach any subject related to social studies (that's History, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, and Political Science), and I pretty much have taught ALL of those. I also have a Masters of  Education in Teacher Leadership (which is for "designing methodologies and techniques from scientifically-based educational research"), with a Specialization in Gifted and Talented (which means having an emphasis on "serving the needs of students with exceptional academic and creative abilities"). I am currently working on my 2nd Masters certification in Psychology!

This is my 3rd year teaching in Willis. Prior to this, I was a District Instructional Specialist in Conroe ISD for all Social Studies in 7-12 grades. While I loved my job at the district level, I missed being with students and making an impact in their lives...and THIS new opportunity popped up! Before working for the district, I was an AP Psychology and U.S. History Honors teacher and dance/drill team coach at The Woodlands College Park.  Fun fact: my family (and my husband's) have lived  in The Woodlands area (and still do) since BEFORE it was even built! So, I have lots of stories about how Montgomery County has changed over the past 50 years!!!

I am a mom to 3 artistic, diverse, FUN humans (all grown), and "YaYa" to my precious grandboy, Damon. I am an avid world traveler and love sharing my adventures with my students :)

I am also the founder / sponsor for KATS Joined for Hope, a new club devoted to suicide prevention & mental health awareness. This is a passion project for me, as it is a part of the Cassidy Joined for Hope Foundation, created after a student of mine at College Park HS (Cassidy Hess), sadly lost her life to suicide during our school year. Our goal is to not only spread positivity to WHS, but to also to aid in helping find ways to prevent the “Silent Epidemic” of youth suicide through educational and awareness programs, service and events in our school and community. We recognized the need for this important movement and strive to be part of the solution.

Our Mission:

  • Break the Silence
  • Spread Suicide Awareness
  • Volunteer in Community Service

Our Vision: Save lives by preventing teen suicide and bring HOPE to students struggling in silence.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via email: Students/parents can access my Canvas page where you will find several other ways to get in touch with me, which is sometimes a bit faster. Thanks so much for being a part of my class and I look forward to a super WILDKAT year!
