Mrs. Lydia Klespis

As the Instructional Coach for Math and Science at Parmley, my job is to help our teachers build future mathematicians and scientists!  I firmly believe in the constructivist theory of education.  All that means is that I believe students learn by doing and discovering concepts through hands on, student centered activities that promote problem solving and critical thinking.

This is my 30th year in education.  I have had the privilege to serve different campuses and districts as a special education teacher, 3rd grade classroom teacher, a math interventionist, elementary math specialist at Region 6, and now a campus math coach.  The heart of education remains at the campus level, and that is where I am truly at home.

How can I help parents?  Please know that I am happy to visit with anyone who is trying to understand how we are teaching math conceptually to students.  It takes all of us working together to build your child's future.  In Willis ISD, we are "One Team, One Purpose!"
