   Kally Evans, is a 2008 graduate of Sam Houston State University. While attending SHSU, Kally was on the Dean’s List and involved in Chi Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society, the SHSU Dance Company, and The American Legion Auxiliary. She also had the privilege to be the Teaching Assistant to Dr Cindy Grats' World Dance class. She was a guest performer in the Kista Tucker Dance Company concert, and In 2008 she had the privilege to compete at the American College Dance Festival. After college, she served as the Sam Houston State University Dance Alumni President for 4 years. 

   Kally is currently a Science teacher at Lynn Lucas Ms in Willis ISD, where she has over 14 years of experience teaching and writing curriculum. While teaching in WISD Mrs. Evans has helped write curriculum for both middle schools, and helped develop successful 5E Science lesson plans, has served as the Science Dept. Head, on the District Improvement Committee, Presented Lead4ward Rockin Review in Staff Development, is a member of the Science Scope & Sequence Committee, on the Accelerated MS Science Committee, completed the Aspiring Administrators Academy, and is the former Coach of the LLMS Cheerkats. While under her direction, the Cheerkats have won many awards and 2 National Championships. In 2019 Kally was a Top 3 Finalist for Texas ATPE Educator of the Year.

   Mrs. Evans is also a proud member of the Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE). Currently, she serves as the Association of Texas Professional Educators Campus Rep. and Local Vice President. In 2016 Kally won The Association of Texas Professional Educators Leadership Award: Texas Campus Representative of the year. Mrs. Evans has also presented at ATPE’s Summit, been a part of ATPE’s membership campaign, featured in the membership campaigns brochure and website, is a member of ATPE Legislative Committee, and testified at ATPE’s day at the Capital before the Senate Finance Committee in favor of SB3  

   She considers herself to be a lifelong learner who likes to think outside of the box. She did not become that way until college and credits 2 professors that instilled that into her with their innovative approach to teaching and their ability to get their students to problem solve and continue to research about a topic after the lesson was over. She wants to help teachers and students develop that curiosity and willpower to keep learning before they graduate high school.

   When Mrs. Evans has free time she is a Barrel Racer who loves to rodeo with her family and racing family. She also uses her love for photography to relax and spend time with her best subjects... her daughters Maeghan and Baylee.
