Ms. Señora Ibarra

Hello Parents and Students

Welcome to Spanish 2.  I was born in Boise, Idaho and grew up in Oregon and Utah.  I have lived in Texas for 15 years.  I have been teaching students Spanish at Willis High School for 7 years going on 8.  Before that I worked at Nimitz 9th grade Center in Aldine ISD for 8 years. I taught ESL grades K-5 in Logan, Utah.  The year before that I taught children grades K-3 English in Taiwan for a year at a private school.  I have been able to do two Study abroad experiences in Mexico which encouraged me to continue you my study of the Spanish language.  I love Spanish and honestly have wanted to learn Spanish since I was a little girl.  Learning a foreign language has been a blessing in my life.  I love being able to speak to people from a different countries and cultures. It has help me learn English better and also has helped me understand and appreciate my own culture and the opportunities I have been given. And it has just been plain old good fun! As I have lived in Mexico and Taiwan, and visited the Philippines and the Dominican Republic I have been inspired by the things I have learned from these different cultures and people. It has really has shown me the difference one person can make in the world.  It also has shown me that the more I learn the more power I have in my life to resolve my own problems and to help others as well.
