Mrs. Christine Henderson

I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. I started my career with MHMR as a counselor and teacher in a juvenile residential unit. In 1990 I received my alternative certification from SHSU. I started teaching at Huntsville High School in 1991, as a SpED teacher. In 2006 I started teaching at Willis High School. For the past 20 years I served as the lead teacher in the SpEd Department. This will be my first year that I no longer hold that title. In 2013 I was chosen as the WISD secondary teacher of the year.

This year I will be a Support Facilitation Teacher and Co Teacher in the Social Studies Department. I will be working with Coach James Propst in Governement, Coach Morgan Sloan in Economics, Coach Bryan Thomas in W. Geography and Ms. Amy McGowen in US History.

I look forward to a great year. It is my privlege to work with our young people. It is important that our district, parents and students work together to meet the needs of our students.

All assignments, notes, makeup work and grading system will be based on the general education class. Please refer to the appropriate teacher's web page for specific classroom information.
