Mrs. Christine Henderson

I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. I started my career with MHMR as a counselor and teacher in a juvenile residential unit. In 1990 I received my alternative certification from SHSU. I started teaching at Huntsville High School in 1991, as a SpED teacher. In 2006 I started teaching at Willis High School. For the past 23 years I served as the lead teacher in the SpEd Department.  In 2013 I was chosen as the WISD secondary teacher of the year.

This year I will be a Support Facilitation Teacher and Co Teacher in the Social Studies Department. I will be working with Ms. Amy McGowen and Coach John Patterson in US History, Coach Dominic Merka in W History, and Coach Nick Ladd in W. Geography.

I look forward to a great year. It is my privlege to work with our young people. It is important that our district, parents and students work together to meet the needs of our students.
