Instruction/Presentation/Data Collection

Willis ISD is embracing Google this school year.  All staff and students will have gmail accounts, access to Google Drive, and Google Classroom.  There are many other apps and extension available for classroom use.  Contact your iCoach for assistance or click on the Google Resources link to the right to access multiple trainings for Google products.
Google Classroom - Google Classroom is free for teachers and students.  Teachers can create classes for students to join with a class code.  In the classroom, teachers can post assignments or links for students.  Students can ask and answer questions and communicate with the teacher and receive instant feedback and grades.
Classroom Presentation Websites

Websites to create lessons for students to interact or view
Classkick - free app that students work on and get help instantly from their teacher and peers.  Students work on assignments with their Chromebooks, laptops, or iPads, while getting help from teachers and peers instantly. Teachers create assignments, see all their students’ work in real-time, and give LOTS of student feedback. Best of all, students can help each other anonymously.
Genially - create images, infographics, presentations, microsites, catalogs, CVS and enrich them with interactive effects and animation.  Genial.ly is the best web tool to create engaging interactive visual content (pictures, posters, presentations, etc) for people without programming skills.
Mentimeter - a powerful collaboration and presentation software featuring unlimited votes, polls, word clouds, multiple choice questions, quiz and more.  Create fun and interactive presentations for your meeting, event, conference or classroom. Mentimeter is a free, easy-to-use software that you can use online.
Nearpod - Nearpod has a free and paid version.  The free version limits some of the online activities, but only teachers will need accounts.  It can be used to create engaging online lessons that included imported files (powerpoint, google slides, etc.), websites, videos, and activities.
Student Work Websites

Websites for students to complete assignments or digitally submit work.
Answer Pad -  The Answer Pad is a website that allows teachers to create classes to assign electronic quizzes or send out quick interactive activities for students to complete.  It allows for immediate feedback or reteaching, as well as immediate standards based reporting.  It is offered free for teachers with some limitations, or there is a paid version.
Formative - Formative is a free program for teachers and students, but will need to have accounts created.  It can take a normal worksheet or assignment and transform it into an online assignment.  Students can receive instant feedback using live results.

Wizer - an education platform that allows teachers to create quick, easy and fun digital worksheets, to share them with fellow teachers and to keep track of student performance. In the classroom, teachers are more creative and students are a lot more engaged.
Student Data Collection

Websites for teachers to use with students to collect data or use as exit tickets.
Padlet - Padlet is a digital canvas to create beautiful projects that are easy to share and collaborate on.  It works like a piece of paper. We give you an empty page - a padlet - and you can put whatever you like on it. Drag in a video, record an interview, snap a selfie, write your own text posts or upload some documents, and voilà! A padlet is born. Make it even more beautiful by choosing custom wallpapers and themes.
Plickers - a powerfully simple tool that lets teachers collect real-time formative assessment data without the need for student devices.  Teachers just need a device with a camera to collect the student data from their assigned Plickers card.  Plickers is great for true/false or multiple choice questions.  It works great for quick checks or exit tickets.
