UIL Regional Congress Competition

Willis High School Juniors Andrew Hodge, Dylan Shears and Jayan Bhakta recently competed at the UIL Regional Congress Competition, a sub-division of the UIL Speech and Debate tournaments. Andrew placed 5th and was named 2nd alternate to state. Dylan received the Top Presiding Officer Award for his chamber for 5A. All three were strong competitors and represented Willis well.

Terrific Trees of Texas Arbor Day Poster Winner

Turner Elementary fifth-grade student Zisel Brasa was honored at a ceremony at Lone Star College Montgomery this week for her winning poster drawing in the Terrific Trees of Texas Arbor Day Poster Contest. She was joined by her 4th grade teacher, Tracy Gray. Congratulations!

November Students of the Month

The November Students of the Month were announced Wednesday at the school board meeting. The elementary honoree is Alexander Hernandez, a fifth-grade student at Parmley Elementary; and the secondary honoree is Jack Wiebe, an eighth-grade student at Brabham Middle School.
