Misael De Los Reyes, an eighth-grade student from Lynn Lucas Middle School, was named the Zone VIII Spelling Bee Champion during regional competition held February 9 in Huntsville.

Willis ISD is proud to announce that Michael Wall, formerly assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at 6A Lake Travis High School, has been named the new Boys Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach for Willis High School.

No Make-Up Days Required

Willis ISD closed schools due to bad weather Jan. 16-17, 2018. District administration has verified that there are enough instructional minutes built into our academic calendar that students will NOT be required to make up the two missed days.

Top High School Students Named

Willis High School has named the school's academic leaders. Ten seniors received the coveted academic letter jacket with their names on back. The top 20 juniors and top 25 sophomores received blankets and cups, respectively. Congratulations to these high achievers!
