Each month, teachers submit nominations to the Teacher Advisory Committee member at their campus. The campus representatives select a finalist for each campus. These nominations are submitted to the communications department for review. Students are chosen based on a variety of qualities, including leadership, citizenship, academics and attendance.
Juan was nominated by his 4th grade teacher, Greta Lyren. Ms. Lyren stated, “Juan brings his best to school everyday with perfect attendance, perfect conduct and lots of class participation.” She continued, “Juan works very hard and has much pride in all the work required of him.”
“Marlee exemplifies all the qualities of a good student,” said teacher Lea Ann Marks. “She is respectful to teachers and students alike, takes care of all her assignments on time, asks for extra work or if there is anything she can do after she completes an assignment, and serves as a role model and peer tutor in class.”
“I’m so proud of Marlee and Juan for working hard and showing excellence every day,” said Tim Harkrider, Superintendent. “These students are great examples of what hard work and dedication can do.”
