Child Nutrition

Your family may qualify for free or reduced-priced meals.

As a part of the National School Lunch Program, some students may be eligible for a free or reduced-priced lunch. All families wishing to receive free or reduced meals must complete a new application each school year. If the family received assistance in the previous year, it will continue for the first 30 operating days into the new year or until a new application is processed. The fastest way to apply for free or reduced-price meals is by completing an online application, found at www.schoolcafe.com/willisisd. Paper applications can take up to 10 days to process. After the application has been processed, the family will receive a notice stating the benefits for which the family is eligible. If a paper application is needed, you can print it here (English) (Spanish) or pick it up at any school office, cafeteria, or at the Child Nutrition office.

• Visit www.schoolcafe.com/willisisd
• Use your existing "School Cafe" login from the previous year (or use "forgot password" is necessary) 
• If not registered, click "Create an Account" 

Items Needed

• Student ID Number 
• Student birthday 
• If you have SNAP or TANF benefits, you will need your EDG (eligibility determination group) number
• Last month's total (gross) income for all household members working
• Last 4 digits of the social security number for the person completing the application

The online menu provides nutrient analysis and allergy information for each item on the menu. (Note: A printable version of the menu is available from the online menu.)

View Menus & Nutritional Information

To view nutritional information and/or allergens:

1. Select student's school.
2. Select breakfast or lunch menu.
3. Click "Go."
4. Make sure to select the month you want to view.
5. You can click on the specific item on any day to open the nutritional information for that item.
6. Allergens will be listed with an icon in the bottom left corner.

Food Allergies & Diet Modifications

For students with food allergies that need accommodation, parents are required to fill out the Diet Modification Form for special diets. Once the form is completed and signed by a physician, please return the form to the Child Nutrition Department. The special dietary needs will be reviewed and uploaded to student accounts within business 10 days. If you have any questions, please contact Child Nutrition at 936-890-7730.
