Facilities Naming Committee
The Willis ISD Board of Trustees sought community input on names for Elementary #7. Elementary #7 will open in August of 2026 and serve students in grades K-5. The school is located at 8150 MP Clark Road, Conroe, Texas 77304.
The naming of District facilities is guided by Board Policy CW (Legal) and (Local). The District's Facility Naming Committee was convened on November 6. A ranked list of the top three suggestions was presented to the Board of Trustees at their meeting on November 12.
With a 6-0 vote, the Trustees named Elementary #7 after long-time Willis resident, former mayor, and Willis ISD educator Ruth Castleschouldt.

Submissions must include a brief justification.

Convene Facility Naming Committee on a date TBD to determine three (3) submissions to present to the Board for consideration.
Wed., Nov. 12
Final three (3) name suggestions presented to the Board of Trustees for consideration in naming Elementary #7.
