    Registration begins March 27, 2023 by appointment only.

    Students entering kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023, to be eligible for enrollment. All students entering WISD for the FIRST TIME must register at their appropriately zoned campus. If your child attended Roark Early Education Center, you do not need to re-register them for Kindergarten. If you are unsure which campus you are zoned to, please visit our Transportation Webpage to view attendance zones and/or to determine what bus your child(ren) will ride.

    WISD Registration Information:

    To register, parent/guardian must present the following documents at the in-person appointment. (Please note, even if you upload the documents in the system, you will be required to present hard copies for review). 

    • One proof of residency.
      • Current utility bill, mortgage, lease agreement, etc. 
        • Utility Bill - An acceptable utility bill is a gas or electric bill that includes your name and the physical address of the property. Bill must be within the last 30 days. 
        • Lease Agreement - A lease agreement with your name, physical address, and signature page signed by all parties is acceptable.
    • Current immunization records. Further information regarding immunizations can be found HERE.
    • Original valid driver’s license of the enrolling parent/guardian.
    • Child's birth certificate**.
    • Child's social security card.

    Once you have completed the online registration portion, please use the links on THIS PAGE to sign up for an appointment with your child(ren)s campus to complete the registration process. Your child is not fully registered and can NOT start school until we have verified that all required documents have been obtained and verified. 

    Students who are new to Willis ISD will be required to take an assessment once the enrollment process is complete.

    **Parents can go directly to Texas.gov and order a certified birth certificate for $22, the same price as a walk-in or mail order. This easy-to-use online service is offered in English and Spanish and provides parents with a straightforward, secure option for ordering their child’s birth certificate. The orders are fulfilled by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
