  • Free Lunches for All

    This school year, healthy meals will be offered every school day to all students at no cost. Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year.

  • Superintendent Dr. Tim Harkrider Named Distinguished Administrator by Texas Music Educators Association

    Ken Labonski, Fine Arts Coordinator, presented Superintendent Dr. Tim Harkrider with a Distinguished Administrator Award from the Texas Music Educators Association at the July board of trustees meeting. Labonski nominated Dr. Harkrider for his continued support of fine arts in Willis ISD. The award is given to leaders of secondary schools for outstanding commitment to preserving quality music education experiences for all students.

  • 2021-22 School Year Marks 115 Year Anniversary

    The 2021-22 school year is Willis ISD's 115 year of educating students! We are proud of the students, teachers, staff and parents who came before us and paved the way. We love the memories, the wins and the growth. We will be sharing some of the history of Willis ISD throughout the year.

  • P-EBT Food Benefits Application Open

    The application for P-EBT benefits is now open until Aug. 13. P-EBT provides food benefits to families with eligible children who temporarily lost access to free or reduced-price meals during the 2020–21 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Click headline to read more.

  • 2021-22 Learning Model

    Dr. Harkrider has announced that the district will only provide in-person learning for the 2021-22 school year. Additionally, masks will be optional during summer activities.

  • Willis ISD Announces Two Big Hires

    Willis ISD is happy to announce that a new principal for Turner Elementary has been named. Lea Ann Boswell comes to us from Deer Park ISD where she served as principal of Fairmont Elementary for the last nine years. Additionally, Brad Mansfield has been tapped as Executive Director of the Student Services department. He replaces Dr. Timothy Walsh, who is retiring. Click headline to read more.
