  • Susan Fossler Named New CC Hardy Elementary Principal

    Susan Fossler, currently assistant principal at Parmley Elementary, has been promoted to Principal of CC Hardy Elementary for the 2021-22 school year. Fossler joined WISD in 2017 as a counselor before being named AP the following year. Prior to joining WISD she was a teacher and counselor in Conroe ISD for 17 years. Fossler holds a bachelor of science in education and a masters in school counseling from Sam Houston State University.

  • Wildkat Resource Center Preparing for 2021-22 School Year

    We are excited to announce the new Wildkat Resource Center (WRC), formerly known as the parent center, will be fully up and running for the 2021-2022 school year. The WRC is being led by District Outreach Liaison, Kindra Schiffner. The WRC will offer FREE items for WISD employees, students, and their families in need of assistance. When someone within our school district encounters hard times, we will assist them. The WRC will provide clothing, undergarments and hygiene products monthly to our families in need. The new WRC will not accept donations of any household items or furniture. We are currently taking donations by appointment only.

  • Pharmacy Tech and Nursing Assistant Students Pass Exams

    Congratulations to the @Willis_HS_TX Pharmacy and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students for achieving a 100% first-time passing rate on their state exams. All of the students are seniors, and are led by Health Science Instructor, Katrina King. Click headline to read more.

  • Journalism Students

    Willis High School Journalism students recently competed at UIL Regionals, with two students earning a trip to the State competition in May. Heather Jackson won 3rd place for her news story, and Julianna Needham won 3rd place in Informative Speaking. The top 3 winners qualify for state competition. Additionally, the journalism team, made up of Brenan Mansker, Katherine Lee, and Summer Rains, placed 3rd for team journalism. Congratulations!

  • CC Hardy Elementary Named Model PLC Campus

    CC Hardy Elementary School in Willis ISD was recently recognized by Solution Tree for its sustained success in raising student achievement. The school’s successful implementation of the Professional Learning Communities at Work™ process was a major contributing factor in the improved achievement of its students.

  • Willis ISD Announces Two Big Hires

    Willis ISD is happy to announce that a new principal for Turner Elementary has been named. Lea Ann Boswell comes to us from Deer Park ISD where she served as principal of Fairmont Elementary for the last nine years. Additionally, Brad Mansfield has been tapped as Executive Director of the Student Services department. He replaces Dr. Timothy Walsh, who is retiring. Click headline to read more.
