    c(2) The student examines the structure of the legal system in the United States.

     

    c(3) The student explores the roles and responsibilities of members of courtroom work groups.



    2nd 9 Weeks:

     

    c(5) The student examines the steps by which a criminal charge is processed through pretrial, trial, adjudication, and the appellate stages.

     

    c(6) The student explains the structure and provisions of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights and how they impact the criminal trial process.

     

    c(4) The student recognizes communication skills needed for courtroom policies and procedures.
