    1st & 2nd 9 Weeks: 

     

    1 - The passage of traits from parents to offspring can be simple or complex.

     

    2 - In eukaryotes, heritable information is passed to the next generation via processes that include the cell cycle.

     

    3 - Heritable information provides for continuity of life. - DNA, and in some cases RNA, is the primary source of heritable information.


    4 – Heterotrophs capture free energy present in carbon compounds produced by other organisms. Autotrophs capture free energy from physical sources in the environment.
