1 – Explore the emerging field of biotechnology including issues and applications.
2 – Investigate the raw materials of biotechnology including cell structure, types of research organisms, and macromolecules.
3 – Explore basic skills of the biotechnology workplace including tool selection, units of measurement, conversions, concentrations and solution preparations.
4 – Describe the structure, function and uses of DNA in biotechnology.
