• State of Texas Assessment Score Reporting

    Beginning June 12, Parents may log in to TexasAssessment.com to review State of Texas assessment scores. Below are the instructions for accessing in both English and Spanish.

    *ACCESS CODE: You will need your child's access code. It can be found on Parent Portal. If you don't have an account yet, you can find it on our main page of our website under "Parents". To then get the code, click on the child, then far right tab labeled "testing". Click HERE for screenshot instructions. 

     

    The Willis ISD Student Assessment Department manages and oversees the training, production, and administration of district assessments as well as all state assessments included in the Texas assessment program. The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) program, which was implemented in spring 2012, includes annual assessments for:

    Reading and Mathematics, grades 3–8
    Writing at grades 4 and 7
    Science at grades 5 and 8
    Social Studies at grade 8
    End-of-Course (EOC) assessments for English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology and U.S History.

    TEA has developed the STAAR Alternate 2 assessment to meet the federal requirements mandated under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), a federal education law previously known as No Child Left Behind.

    TEA designed the STAAR Alternate 2 to assess students in grades 3–8 and high school who have significant cognitive disabilities and are receiving special education services.

    TEA designed the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) to assess the progress that limited English proficient (LEP) students make in learning the English language.

    District Assessments: 

    Common Assessments - Campus created assessment over smaller amounts of curriculum that has already been taught in the classroom.

    Benchmarks - District created assessment to gather data over content that has been taught in the classroom.
