Announcing: School Cafeterias at Willis ISD ‘Serve’ Parents Online.
Paul Dusebout, Director of Child Nutrition at Willis ISD, has implemented “Lunch Money Now”, an addition to the point-of-sale software provided by Systems Design of Corpus Christi, Texas. Systems Design specializes in food service management systems for school nutrition programs.
Lunch Money Now permits parents to access their student's cafeteria account via the Internet. Linked from Willis’ home page (www.willisisd.org), it provides the ability to view the student’s account balance, view/print the student's recent purchase history and make deposits to the child’s meal account using a debit/credit card. Deposits are recorded on a secure (SSL) site and are typically available on the student's account within the hour of the transaction. Lunch Money Now allows deposits to multiple accounts with a single credit card transaction.
Willis ISD joins over 50 other school districts in Texas using Lunch Money Now. This service has been popular with students and parents alike because of its convenience. District employees like it because it saves time and reduces the need to handle cash.
A new feature was launched this fall allowing parents to subscribe for e-mail warnings when their child’s account dips below a specified threshold. With the help of Lunch Money Now, Willis ISD is now ready to ‘serve’ you!
A convenience fee of $2.50 will be charged by Bank of America for each transaction. One transaction is defined as one use of the system regardless of how many students accounts are replenished.
Example 1: You add $40 to your one child; total charge will be $42.50.
Example 2: You add $40 to one of your children, $30 to another, $30 to another, total charge will be $102.50 ($40 + $30 + $30 + $2.50).
Willis ISD does not receive any of the $2.50 fee.
Accepted for transactions.
